Okie Dokie....

Well, this summer I have been working out here and there...at least twice a week. I started doing Insanity, which is super intense and normally leaves me sore for a few days. I just ordered Les Mills Pump. I am excited to see what some weight lifting will do for my joints. My weight has come down a little bit, I have been trying to eat a pretty healthy diet or clean diet. I have stopped eating the crap food from the bakery completely (even though it is free, it is still horrible for the body). I have noticed a pretty big difference too!

Weight: 133 lbs.
Waist: 29"
Hips: 36"
Pants size: 8

All these are just numbers though. I am more interested in building my body into a better body. My RA has just been alright this past month, my hands have been sticking alot and I get pretty sore at times (mainly from over doing it at work). Need to trust my body when I need to rest and do just that.

My Starting Point

Alright, it's time for me to get down to business. I am going to get back into shape, I have gotten my RA under control (meaning very low to no inflammation). I want to get my body back into shape and back into a healthy way of living. I know it all sounds very cliche; but if you think about it even healthy people feel better when they take care of their body, think about how much it will affect someone with a chronic illness. My husband has also put in a little incentive for me to get into shape with a $200 gift at the end of summer if I can keep with my new healthy habits.

My starting point stats are as follows:
Height:   5'4"
Weight: 138 lbs.
Neck:     12.8 in.
Hips:      37.5 in.
Waist:     32.5 in.

I know these are not hugely large numbers, this I understand. I want to get fit, to build more muscle to support my joints and body. I also want to get my waist line down, having RA I am already more susceptible to get Diabetes (runs in family and also I had GD when preggers with son 7 yrs ago). So this is just a personal goal, there is no real ending weight that I want to be at, something just more comfortable and strong. I also want to build up my core (its very weak) and stamina.

At this point and time I wear a size 8/10 depending on the makers and also a med-large top again depending on who makes the top. So this is were I start and I hope to get some people to follow and encourage me on my journey, maybe even inspire others to get healthy as well.

I don't want to hear I can't, I want to hear I can and I will.
